Last Undergraduate Class Ever…But Still One Last Paper

Evening everyone

If you aren’t a reader of Choosing Raw or are but haven’t checked out my Green Recovery Guest Post, perhaps you’d like to take a gander Gena, the blogger behind Choosing Raw is a really amazing and inspiring woman and soon-to-be doctor.  Her blog has really inspired me to enter fully into Veganism and she has a knack for creating super delicious recipes.

Today I had my last college (undergrad) class ever, as evidenced by the heading of my notes for the day:

And I also felt the need to commemorate the day by taking a picture of myself.  I felt it was a fitting end to the beginning of my educational path when my parents took a picture of me on my first day of kindergarten.

Interestingly (but not coincidentally) that shirt, scarf, and belt are the ones I wore on my first day at inpatient this last time around.  I found the outfit at a boutique in Evergreen, Colorado and it was a good day with my mom right before I went back to treatment.  It’s my power outfit Or one of them at least.

I’ve been waiting for this day for a really long time, and tomorrow at 5 pm I’ll be officially done with all of my work (hence the title of the post: one last paper, which perhaps should be the title of the actual paper…).  Anyway, I plan on celebrating with a friend and maybe we’ll go out to dinner or do some shopping.  At this point I just feel like I’ve been over the whole “college thing” since about three weeks into the semester, which is interesting because all of last year I would have done anything (except give up my eating disorder until November) to be back in school.

The last week I have been suffering from an infection and today I did finally get some antibiotics for it so thankfully I can sit down and finish this paper and really be able to relax and enjoy myself.  Next week (or the week after or something) is Senior Week for all my classmates but I want to plan my own since I’m not joining in any school festivities.  There’s a spa that my yoga teacher told me about that has amazing prices and she said had phenomenal Thai massages.  I think I’ve earned a nice back massage by now
