I never realized how dependent I am on the internet until I moved into my new place and haven’t been able to get online because either my modem doesn’t like me or my Apple wireless base station doesn’t like me. Either way, this is the first time I’ve had a connection in days and a lot has happened since I last posted!
My parents flew in on Thursday and helped co-sign the lease on my new apartment and Friday was spent moving all my junk possessions into the new place. I will write a more detailed moving post later but my first order of business is to welcome the newest member of my family!
Meet Isaiah!
On Saturday morning my parents met me at my new apartment (which is utterly unbelievable and I am so incredibly lucky and happy to be here in this new, beautiful space), and we drove to Starbucks for an early breakfast and coffee before hitting Pier 1 Imports and Costco. My mom told me on the way there that my cousin Tony’s wife, Kellie had gone into labor! I was so excited because they chose not to find out the sex of the baby and I was really, REALLY hoping for a boy because our family is short on them 
Tony and his sister Andrea grew up with my sister and I like siblings. We have a really close family (our mom’s are sisters) and they were the ones who told me during the worst points in my illness that one day I’d make it through and be able to use my experience to help others. Smart cookies they are.
Anyway, my sister went over to their house that morning to watch their daughter while Tony was with Kellie at the birth center, and we all waited anxiously for more news. Roughly three hours later my mom grabbed my arm as I was driving and shouted excitedly, “IT’S A BOY!!!!” My mom and I were smiling and just getting so excited to have another baby in the family AND to have a little boy. Poor Tony has dealt with too much estrogen from his sister, my sister, and I. I also should point out that between the three of us women, I am the most firey and troublesome
I am so excited to help welcome Isaiah Alexandru (I love the Romanian middle name and a tribute I believe to Tony’s grandfather who passed away many years ago) into the world. I also want to congratulate Tony and especially Kellie, warrior woman extraordinaire who delivered this 8 lb 3.5 oz baby WITHOUT medication. THAT is some serious willpower and strength right there!
Welcome to the world, Isaiah! You are already so loved and adored and you have a giant Romanian family that already would do anything for you!

Thanks Alex! I was so excited for my cousin to finally have a son! We have way more girls/women in our family than we do boys/men so we needed some balance
